Where is the Cure?

Hasn't been announced yet...hope it will be soon. I'm looking forward to this one. I've decided on the Deep Treatment. Plans include re-kashering my kitchen during week two, finding a solution to the office area during week five, and in general making my home a bit healthier. Which means finally throwing out all those boxes on the balcony and donating their contents. Painting and new balcony furniture will have to wait. Also, I'll have a small budget, so while I'll be able to get some new sheets and fresh flowers, I'm not planning to buying much else. The rest will have to come from what I already have. Good luck to me, right?

Fall Cure 2008?

I was thinking about participating this September, but can't decide between doing the Full Home or the One Room. I had a great time last round just working on my living room, but I'd like to attack my entire home. On the other hand, my balcony is a disaster:

Update

I've accomplished quite a bit since the end of the Fall Cure 07. The couch is at home, the ottoman has settled in, and the apartment has remained more or less clean/organized.

I also moved a bookcase out of my bedroom into the living room and now one wall is one big expanse of books. Lovely.

I added some little pieces to the tables, fulfilling my desire to make the place homey and anthropologist-like. My black pottery is out, the fans are open, and the hat is hanging.

Spring Cure '08

I'm jealous. Everyone's pictures look great. But I just didn't have the time for this round.

My plans are to participate in the fall, and in the meantime, post some photos of all the work I've been doing since November, including: de-cluttered office space, artwork, the new furniture and more little bits. I also fixed up the bedroom, which wasn't part of the cure.

The Green Monster

It's finally here:

I'm not sure about how it fits in the room, in regards to the side tables and the ottoman, etc. It's just weird to have a whole couch after so many years of futons and baby ikea loveseats. These are bad photos, so I'm not sure how to explain...

So now that I have my couch, along with all the other things (or at least all that I can do/afford right now), I just HAVE TO PAINT. Then everything can get onto the walls and I'll feel comfortable with what I've accomplished these past two months.

Week Eight Already?

I'm a bit behind, largely because I haven't painted yet. I have the colors ready, but still haven't gone to the store (on the corner) to buy the actual paint.

So while I have lots of artwork to hang, I haven't yet.

Left on the to-do list:
-paint
-hang curtains in dining area (now office!)
-hang up all the art and the magnetic bulletin boards
-print the last few photos to hang as well as frame two prints

Things that will happen eventually
-buy a shelf type set up for the office area when I have the cash (right now it's haphazard mess of boxes and a file cabinet but it's neat and it functions)
- the sofa will be delivered

I'm fairly happy with the state of things though. A lot got done, and the rest just depends on running a few lessons.
